New wind farm to increase renewable energy generation

CS-VUE Clients, ‘Meridian Energy’s latest wind farm Mill Creek, near Wellington, will increase New Zealand wind generation by 10% while helping achieve NZ’s target of 90% renewable electricity generation by 2025.’
The wind farm is based in the Ohariu valley North West of Wellington on privately owned land and comprises 26 turbines expected to be generating electricity approximately 90% of the time. Total output will be enough to power around 30,000 average homes every year. The first power was produced from the site in May 2014.
